Amelia (Year 12) writes about the life and art of early 20th century artist Gabriele Münter, whose art she saw at the „Making Modernism“ exhibition at the Royal Academy on a Sixth Form German trip. The exhibition reframed subjects such as self-portraiture, still-life, the female body, depictions of childhood, landscapes and urban scenes through the experiences and perspectives of ground-breaking female artists.
