摇篮曲可以帮助婴儿入睡，让婴儿感到安宁，还可以用来讲故事。摇篮曲的作用是让孩子安静下来，抚慰他们。因为唱摇篮曲是一种亲密的活动，可以在父母和孩子之间建立紧密的关系。摇篮曲有助于调节婴儿的情绪。 

摇篮曲可以帮助父母向孩子们传授中国历史和重要事件的文化意义，比如文化大革命和中国的现代化.。《小燕子》就是一个例子，它讲述了 50 年代中国的变化。摇篮曲也是一种口口相传的传统，可见摇篮曲具有教育性。摇篮曲可以采用家族故事来个人化。摇篮曲也可以教导孩子们语言- 普通话的声调。不但讲述故事，中国的民间传统也很重要。 

中国摇篮曲通过歌词和旋律，在建立情感纽带、安抚儿童情绪和传授重要价值观方面发挥着重要作用。这是一种古老的传统，在育儿实践中保留了中国传统。

English Translation:

Lullabies help put babies to sleep and help babies feel peaceful, as well as being used to tell stories. The purpose is to calm children down and soothe them. It can create a bond between the parent and the child because it is an intimate activity. Lullabies are shown to help regulate babies’ emotions.  

Lullabies help parents teach children about the history of China, and the cultural significance of important events, for example, the cultural revolution and modernisation of China. An example of this is ‘Little Swallow’, it is about the change in China in the 50s. It is also a tradition which hands down stories orally, showing that lullabies are educational. Family stories can be used in lullabies, to make them individual. They can also teach children about the language itself, the linguistic tones of Mandarin. Not only telling stories, but relating the folk traditions of the Chinese which are equally important.  

Chinese lullabies play a crucial role in making emotional bonds, calming children and teaching important values through lyrics and melodies. It is an ancient tradition preserving Chinese heritage in the practice of parenting.
