今年1月，基尔·斯塔默访问了中国，会见了中国国家主席习近平。这是自2018年以来英国首相首次访华。会晤伊始，两国领导人决定相互尊重，减少分歧，以促进双边关系发展。中英两国签署了一系列合作协议。斯塔默还提及了香港人权问题和黎智英的处境。此外，双方还达成了英国公民赴华免签的协议。总体而言，这是一次相当成功的访问，并取得了一些外交成果。 

Keir Starmer’s visit to China  

In January of this year, Keir Starmer visited Xi Jinping of China. This was the first time a British prime minister visited China since 2018. At the beginning of their meeting, the two leaders decided to respect each other and reduce their differences so that they can develop their relationship. China and the UK signed several cooperation agreements. Keir Starmer also mentioned the human rights issues in Hong Kong and the situation of Jimmy Lai. There was also an agreement for visa-free travel to China for UK citizens. Overall, it was a reasonably successful visit with some diplomatic outcomes.
